Stadium Lighting

LED Stadium Lighting

Venue lighting is decided by two things: whether the fixture can be aimed without glare into the camera positions, and whether the photometric file matches the seating geometry. SolarOne builds both — broadcast-grade stadium floodlights for televised matches, and modular LED flood lights from 80 W to 1280 W for training grounds and club venues.

Stadium Floodlights

The VSP series is the broadcast-grade platform: asymmetric optics for the camera side, 12 / 18 / 30 / 50 degree distributions for the seating bowl.

VSP-XXXXW-9M-YP

The VSP-XXXXW-9M-YP is a 4200 W stadium floodlight built for broadcast venues. Its Vision Strobe Protection system eliminates flicker through stable high-frequency drive technology, so footage stays clean even in super-slow-motion replay where ordinary LED drivers visibly band. The 9M configuration is housed in 400 × 355 × 600 mm stainless steel 304 and shares the M Series optical family, offering 12°, 18°, 30° and 50° beam angles. CRI is 70–95, ingress protection is IP66, and the lifetime rating is 100,000 hours at 25 °C. Because the optical platform matches the M Series, the same photometric approach applies as for the FL-series fixtures at the same wattage.

VSP-XXXXW-12M-YP

The VSP-XXXXW-12M-YP is the higher-output member of the VSP broadcast range, delivering 4200 W in a 400 × 355 × 1000 mm stainless steel 304 housing — a taller vertical tower than the 9M version, intended for pitches that need the same output from fewer mounting points. The Vision Strobe Protection drive eliminates flicker so super-slow-motion replay footage stays clean. It uses the same M Series optical platform as the FL-series floodlights, so 12°, 18°, 30° and 50° beam angles are available and photometric design follows the same rules. CRI 70–95, IP66 ingress protection, and a 100,000 hour L70 rating at 25 °C. Both VSP models share identical hardware with the equivalent M Series configuration; only the mounting arrangement differs.

Choosing the Right Output

Two numbers decide a stadium package: the target illuminance on the playing surface, and the number of mounting points the structure allows. This is the range our delivered projects actually use.

Venue type Typical fixture Distribution Mounting
Professional stadium, televised VSP-XXXXW-12M-YP, 1000 W+ 12 / 18 / 30 / 50° Roof rim, 30–45 m
Training ground, club venue FL6M–FL9M, 480–720 W 12 / 18 / 30 / 50° Pole, 8–12 m
Multi-sport hall, velodrome RT410-RGBW or RT400HB, 400–600 W 60 / 90 / 120° Roof truss, 12–20 m
Ski run, karting track FL4M–FL6M, 320–480 W Asymmetric, low glare Pole, 6–10 m

Full photometric data, IES files and DIALux reports are supplied on request — send the venue drawing and mounting height.
