Fencing Venue of the 7th CISM Military World Games

【Customer Profile】
The Wuhan Business University Fencing Hall served as the venue for the fencing events of the Modern Pentathlon during the 7th CISM Military World Games. Notably, this project was the first to be completed and boasted the shortest construction cycle among all 35 venues for the Games.

【Scope of Work】
The arena features a competition area with 10 pistes and a training area with 5 to 8 pistes, accommodating up to 2,185 spectators. The primary lighting challenge was to achieve a True "shadowless" effect. To meet the rigorous demands of high-speed fencing, the ceiling illumination required precise photometric calculations to eliminate distracting shadows and provide flawless visual clarity for the athletes.

【The Solution】
Over 180 FL6M-480W LED fixtures were strategically installed across the ceiling. Through meticulous optical design and exact aiming point calculations, the system delivers a uniform, shadowless glow that completely envelops the athletes. This advanced lighting solution ensures optimal visual conditions, allowing competitors to track fast-moving actions with absolute precision.
